Scholarship Overview
The PMTA Lancaster Chapter is sponsoring two CDL scholarships applicable for students pursuing training through the CNS Driver Training Center program.
Each scholarship is valued at $2,000 and will be applied directly toward tuition and are not distributed as cash payouts.
Application deadline: May 26, 2026
Application Requirements
Please include:
- A completed application form
- A short essay explaining your career goals and your interest in pursuing a CDL
- A resume or work history summary
- 1–2 references
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance into CNS CDL training
Incomplete applications may not be considered.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Must be a current school student (no contract training applicants)
Minimum 18 years of age (21+ may be required for interstate roles)
Valid driver’s license
Must meet DOT requirements (physical, drug screen, background)
Accepted into or enrolled in CNS CDL training
Must not currently hold a CDL
Additional Notes + Evaluation Criteria
- Scholarships apply directly to tuition (no cash payouts)
- Recipients must complete the training program
- CNS Driver Training Center administers the program and may adjust terms as needed
Evaluation Criteria:
- Interest in trucking career
- Work history and reliability
- Ability to complete training
- References
- Quality of application responses
